We all know those amazing moments. A beautiful sunrise on your way home. Reaching the top of a mountain with friends. Being outside.
To capture the mood of BREATHE AUT for the Expo in Milan we asked people across the country: What takes YOUR breath away?
Thailand vs. Salzburg…because you don’t have to travel around the world to see something like this…

…a lake in the beautiful Salzkammergut, smooth as a mirror, early in the morning right before diving in….that takes my breath away!

STAR(t)ling, awe-inspiring is it to see that nature is the most precious form of art.
…bevy of starlings, fall, Rust at Lake Neusiedl, Burgenland.
Pure and clear the scent
of freshly washed fabric
as if born anew
End of September at Lake Pfannsee in the Kitzbühel Alps. This was my second night in the tent. Nature’s play of colours takes my breath away, time and time again. Ever new, changing second after second.
My favourite place: the northern shore of Lake Neusiedl… A place to unwind or go windsurfing when the lake shows its stormy side.
Even though mankind interferes with the course of nature, it does not destroy the overall beauty of it all. Instead, the hard, rough structures created in the process underline those parts of nature’s beauty that could otherwise remain invisible to the human eye.
This picture was taken when we shot the campaign for our first two Katzenhaar tees at the Naschmarkt in Vienna with friends. It is breathtakingly funny to work on your projects with friends. Stefan and I may be the heart of Katzenhaar, but there are so many friends who help us: Arno takes pictures, Gabriel is our IT support, Berni and Sergio draw for us, Vicky helps with ironing the shirts; and there are many more who are part of Katzenhaar. We really like that, because many a project would be too big to handle for just the two of us.
“If you try to conquer it, it will keep its distance. Accept it for what it is, and it will carry you to the top.”

Being in sync with nature gives you the most breathtaking highs.
With slackliner Michael Kemeter on Loser mountain near Lake Altaussee.
Arlberg – the cradle of skiing. Sunshine, snow, snow, snow, untouched slopes!!! The dream.
Lake Mondsee – Live where others go for a vacation.
Breathtaking: the smell and taste of a tomato you’ve just picked straight from the shrub.
